Many marketers automate their brand’s social media posts. Scheduling out social media postings, specifically Instagram posts, will not only save you time but will also help for maximum engagement. Others would possibly take to instagram stories for a more efficient and fast-paced marketing strategy.

There are plenty of schedulers out there. And you might be wondering which ones are the best.

In today’s post, I’m comparing each of these scheduling tools so you can determine which one works best for your brand.

PLANN

Desktop and App

Features: Drag & Drop grid, Feed & Story scheduling. Repost feature. Analytics. Content Library. Hashtag Organization. Strategy Feature.

Pro: It is straightforward to use and the strategy feature is a plus!

Con: Doesn’t have auto-posting to IG. The app can freeze when you are trying to post.

Later

Five Instagram Schedulers You Should Try

Desktop and App

One of the most popular Instagram planning apps.

Features: Drag & Drop Grid. Feed & Story Scheduling. Repost feature. Analytics. Shoppable links & more

Pro: LinkInBio feature allows you to link your Instagram posts to the right products or pages with Linkin.bio. You can also use it for multiple channels such as Facebook, Twitter etc.

Con: Design was a little confusing to me.

Preview

Five Instagram Schedulers You Should Try

Preview App

Features: Drag & Drop Grid. Feed scheduling only. Analytics. Photo editing & preset packs. Hashtag organization. Repost feature. Stock images.

Pro: I love that Preview provides you with “find hashtags” where you can choose a category, and it will select top hashtags in related to your industry. Also, love the presets packs.

Con: Analytic feature wasn’t as robust as the other planner tools.

PLANOLY

Five Instagram Schedulers You Should Try

Desktop & App

Features: Planoly is similar to Later. It also allows a team to work on it & much more.

Pro: Focusing on Stories

Con: A bit more expensive if 5 accounts or more.

Unum

Five Instagram Schedulers You Should Try

Umm App:

Features: Similar to Preview as it focuses more on the grid & the look of scheduling your Instagram.

Pro: Unum is another option for many Instagram users.

Con: They seem to offer the basics & nothing more.

All these have lots of similar features & some focus on some things more than others.

Here’s how to decide:

Plann – For the busy professional on the go. This is a powerful app, Has professional editing, insta-story saving feature, reposting feature and a nifty strategy section to help you plan out your future photos by theme. *Disclaimer – I use PLANN but this post is not an ad*

Later – For agency or influencer. You can have other social media channels you want to manage. Nift feature for multiple links (products or blogs or giveaways) to showcase through Instagram.

Planoly – For someone who runs a visual/story heavy (e-commerce) business, like fashion, as the shoppable content feature is very robust yet $$. Also, if you want to schedule your stories, then you can do that as well. Only thing Planoly is missing is to include posts you’ve liked as a repost option.
