What’s the point of social media for business? It’s time-consuming, overwhelming, and at times, frustrating. Social Media Marketing is not just putting content out there for all to see. It’s about increasing brand awareness and getting your message out to consumers quickly and efficiently.
There are many parts to a strategic social media plan. It includes branding, content marketing, influencer marketing, strategic partnerships, planning and styling, and more. When it came to these four brands, each one of them were facing a problem. Today, I wanted to share with you how I helped these brands put together a strategic social media plan together and their successes since.
1. Suck it: The Restaurant.
I’m sure you’ve seen on Instagram pictures of PHO, Sushi, and more. Suck it: The Restaurant has now turned into the place you need to try ASAP, but in November of 2016, the restaurant was facing a problem on how to reach their customers. They had been in business for over 5+ years and had never used any formal usage of social media marketing. Owners, Yen and Vin, reached out to me via Instagram to help them with their social media. We felt the service they needed that could improve this problem was under my event-PR service. I helped them put a strategic event together in the course of a month and a half. Over 32 influencers came to the event which helped get the hashtag for the evening to be trending. The hashtag, filled with pictures of the special menu, reached over 69K users in just TWO HOURS. From that night, I was able to connect them to Yelp San Antonio, who then also hosted a private event with his Yelp Elite Squad. Since, Suck it: The Restaurant has been featured on SA LIVE, San Antonio Current, and has gained a following and continues to see an increase in revenue.
2. Cafe Con Ellas
Rose, founder of Cafe Con Ellas approached me in December 2016. She wanted to create a brand that showcases diverse businesses across San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, and Mexico. Rose wanted to bring in a bilingual perspective in the world of online marketing. When we started working together, she was at point 0. We worked together on my social media strategy service for six months. I helped her put together a plan for reaching her audience on Instagram, a method for video content, and helped her understand all trends social media had to offer. In month three of our working relationship, one of their Facebook Live video about Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse – San Antonio reached over 15K users on Facebook. Since working together, Cafe Con Ellas has grown as a top brand in San Antonio- partnering and hosting events with other top brands such as Fashion Group International- San Antonio, BIO2 Skin Studio and Medspa and Fiesta Feet. They have also increased their social media following and presence
3. Surprise Gift Co.
Surprise Gift Co started working with me earlier this year. When Lisa approached me, she needed help on increasing their social media presence and wanting to work with influencers. Suprise Gift Co. saw a 500+ increase in page likes and followers. Had brand new content that resonated with their audience. And their FB Live Giveaway grew from 494 views to 1.8K views within two months.
4. Yelp San Antonio- Yelp Spring Break
Yelp San Antonio hosted “Yelp Spring Break,” a four-day event that featured five large-scale events averaging 500+ attendees at each event. Yelp San Antonio approached me to help create a strategy and execution plan for the four-day event. Their postings reached a total of 200K users on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.
